Keeping this short but a reminder to everyone (and myself) to do something creative every day! Have a good week and get ready for February! :D
After kind of a crappy Saturday, I decided that I had to make up for it on Sunday! I did a few practice runs with my brush lettering and then did these. I also tried my hand at an abstract painting but it wasn't worthy of posting a pic. LOL Maybe next time. ;-)

Last fall, I started learning brush lettering after taking an online class by Amanda Arneill at SayItPretty.com. I really have to practice more often, though. She is so darn inspirational! I love listening to her tips and tricks. 👍 I would love to be able to draw amazing quotes for people like she does. Kuddos to her for doing what she loves. Only downside is that I 'need' to buy more and more pens (a bit OCD, I think 😉) but sadly, I have to wait. (My husband just got laid off 😁😢) Amanda recommends the Tombow dual brush markers and I love them too. They have a brush tip on one end and a fine tip on the other. You can write, draw and blend with them. They work really well for a watercolour looking background too! They are awesome markers and I can't get enough of them. LOL
I'll try to post more often... it's good for me too because it gets me doing this stuff more often. Have a good night. |
