Here are some pics of the ones I did at work.
As I mentioned previously, I am obsessed with chalk drawing lately. I've been asked to do a bunch where I work and had so much fun that I decide it was time to do one for myself. I had some time today so it was the day! I found this saying years ago and have always thought it would make a great addition to my bathroom. While it isn't perfect, I am pretty happy with how it turned out. :D My husband made the frame for it and I love how it looks! I wish I could do this all day long... ;-) He made me another framed version that I plan to put up in my studio and change whenever I want to. Way too much fun! LOL Here are some pics of the ones I did at work.

Never stop learning... that's what I've been told. So, I decided to take some online classes to learn some new stuff. Besides the hand lettering one (my new obsession) I mentioned previously, I also am taking a 'doodling' one. Even though I've been drawing for most of my life, it's always nice to see someone else's take on things. I've even learned some interesting tips and tricks to further my doodling skills. :D The instructor had said to 'doodle your morning routine', so this is what I did. It turned out quite cool! It was so fun to do this and I'm surprised that I haven't thought to try this before! Give it a go and don't worry about how things look. Just do it for yourself and have fun! :-)
So, as I mentioned, my latest 'obsession' is hand, brush and chalk lettering. I got home from work today to find amazon.ca had delivered some presents for me. :D I am very excited to continue learning this fun, new art form and these new tools will help me do it. I am taking an online class and one of the teachers is the author of the Chalk Lettering book. Can't wait to check it out! Always do something creative, everyday! I consider this my therapy to help me through some of life's problems. Enjoy your day! :D I am having sooooo much fun with my new Tim Holtz stamp sets! I just had to have these cool little bird stamps (Bird Crazy by Tim Holtz). Then, I saw the accessories, words and thoughts. My bank account hates me but they are so worth it. You can use water colour pencils, paints or even markers to colour them in but they are so funny and full of character, you can use them for pretty much every occasion. I have done a birthday card, a book mark and just a cool little image to display in my craft room. I'm sure I'll find more ways to use these crazy little guys so I'll post when I do. Do yourself a favour and get a hold of these stamps before they're gone! Have fun. |
